{"id":1282,"date":"2023-05-08T07:26:57","date_gmt":"2023-05-08T07:26:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cruisebooking.com\/news\/?p=1282"},"modified":"2023-06-26T10:24:54","modified_gmt":"2023-06-26T10:24:54","slug":"celebrating-500000-guests-in-brazil-with-msc-cruises","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cruisebooking.com\/news\/msc-cruises\/celebrating-500000-guests-in-brazil-with-msc-cruises","title":{"rendered":"Celebrating 500,000 guests in Brazil with MSC Cruises"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cruisebooking.com\/cruise-lines\/msc-cruises\">MSC Cruises<\/a> recently called it a day after almost six months of sailing in Brazil for its 2022-23 program.<\/p>\n<p>The five-ship local season achieved the highest passenger numbers of all time by sailing over 500,000 passengers, according to the company.<\/p>\n<p>MSC offered 142 cruises to different ports in Brazil, Argentina, and Uruguay from five different homeports.<\/p>\n<p>Fourteen full-ship charters were registered, 62 marriages were celebrated, and over 300 affinity groups were onboard <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cruisebooking.com\/cruise-lines\/msc-cruises\/ships\">MSC ships<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Adrian Ursilli, the company&#8217;s General Manager in Brazil, lauded the results, emphasizing the market&#8217;s recovery after the pandemic.<\/p>\n<div class=\"articles-video text-center\"><iframe class=\"hide\" loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/qltpvDJEl2E\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>One year ago, we were finishing one of the most challenging seasons in Brazil because of a global health emergency. He said the challenges had been overcome, thanking local authorities and other partners for their assistance.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m proud to say that we have embarked over 500,000 local guests in Brazil as a milestone in our operations. During this resumption period, our travel agents, partners, and the team worked tirelessly, contributing significantly to this success,&#8221; Ursilli concluded.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cruisebooking.com\/ships\/msc-fantasia\">MSC Fantasia<\/a> arrived in Brazil in early November, beginning the company&#8217;s season in 2022-23.<\/p>\n<p>The MSC Seashore became the largest cruise ship ever sailing from a Brazilian port after joining the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cruisebooking.com\/ships\/msc-armonia\">MSC Armonia<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cruisebooking.com\/ships\/msc-seaview\">MSC Seaview<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cruisebooking.com\/ships\/msc-preziosa\">MSC Preziosa<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cruisebooking.com\/ships\/msc-seashore\">MSC Seashore<\/a> in December.<\/p>\n<p>A total of two additional ships visited the country during this period. As part of its 2023 World Cruise, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cruisebooking.com\/ships\/msc-magnifica\">MSC Magnifica<\/a> visited Brazil, while the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cruisebooking.com\/ships\/msc-musica\">MSC Musica<\/a> sailed to several ports.<\/p>\n<p>As part of its 2023-2024 fleet expansion, MSC plans to bring five ships to the country again. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cruisebooking.com\/ships\/msc-grandiosa\">MSC Grandiosa<\/a> will replace MSC Seashore as the country&#8217;s largest vessel, alongside MSC Seaview, MSC Preziosa, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cruisebooking.com\/ships\/msc-lirica\">MSC Lirica<\/a>, and MSC Armonia.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MSC Cruises recently called it a day after almost six months of sailing in Brazil for its 2022-23 program.
