From Boston, the Zuiderdam<\/a> sets sail today for a 35-night cruise through northern Europe, Greenland and Canada. In late August, the vessel will return to the United States after cruising to 18 destinations in nine countries and islands. Among the stops on the itinerary are ports in Canada and New England, such as Bar Harbor and Corner Brook. Afterward, the Zuiderdam will visit four ports in Greenland and Iceland: Nanortalik, Paamiut, Isafjord, and Akureyri.<\/p>\n

After visiting Lerwick in the Shetland Islands, the 1,900-guest vessel continues on to Western Europe. Before returning to the United States, the ship visits ports in Ireland, Northern Ireland, and the Isle of Lewis before arriving in the Netherlands. Djupivogur\u00a0and St. Anthony are among the less usual cruise destinations the Zuiderdam visits on its way back to North America.<\/p>\n
