This remarkable 151,400-ton ship was born out of the ambitious &#8220;Queen Mary Project,&#8221; announced by Cunard Line in 1998, which aimed to construct the &#8220;biggest and most luxurious ocean liner ever.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Constructed by the Chantiers de l\u2019Atlantique shipyard in France, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cruisebooking.com\/ships\/queen-mary-2\">Queen Mary 2<\/a> was officially christened by the late Queen Elizabeth II in Southampton on January 8, 2004. Some of these voyages also include the German port of Hamburg for embarkation or disembarkation. These six- to eight-night journeys are unique in that they consist entirely of sea days and are typically faster than standard cruise voyages.<\/p>\n<p>After completing its 108-night global tour in 2024, the Queen Mary 2 is scheduled to offer a variety of cruises ranging from two to 13 nights.
