Celestyal Cruises has decided to cancel its scheduled visits to Santorini in March and April due to recent seismic activity on the island. The company announced a statement on its website, which explained the impact of its \u201cIconic Greek Islands\u201d itinerary.<\/p>\n

The company emphasized its commitment to monitoring global operations, including seismic activity in the Aegean region. In line with advice from the Greek government, Celestyal announced that it would update its itineraries and proactively replace Santorini with alternative destinations.<\/p>\n

For those sailing onboard the Celestyal Discovery<\/a>, the three- and four-night cruises will now include a visit to Heraklion, Greece, instead of Santorini. Celestyal assured that it is in the process of notifying all affected customers and partners and emphasized that they are fully committed to returning to the island once the government deems it safe.<\/p>\n

Celestyal Cruises<\/a> also mentioned that the situation is being closely monitored and that they are ready to return to Santorini once it is confirmed that a safe and enjoyable experience can be ensured for passengers. The company is currently aiming for a return to Santorini on May 1, 2025.<\/p>\n

In addition to Celestyal, other cruise lines are following suit in canceling their visits to Santorini. Reports indicate that Viking, Selectum Blu, and Miray Cruises have all made similar decisions for the upcoming weeks in 2025.<\/p>\n

Viking, which had originally planned to open the season in February, has canceled two additional scheduled arrivals to Santorini. Instead of visiting the island, the Viking Star will now make stops at Mykonos and Nafplio.<\/p>\n

Miray Cruises is also adjusting its plans, replacing visits to Santorini in March with a stop in Syros aboard the Gemini.<\/p>\n

Selectum Blu, which is preparing to launch its 2025 summer season in the Mediterranean, has announced that it will replace its Santorini visits with Patmos. The Blue Sapphire, which operates from Turkey, will now include Patmos in its four-night cruise itinerary.<\/p>\n
