Princess Cruises just announced they\u2019re pulling the plug on all the sailings that were supposed to leave Galveston<\/a> in the 2026-27 season. It\u2019s part of a larger strategy shift that involves redeploying the fleet.<\/p>\n

The Majestic Princess, which was supposed to make its Texas debut, was slated to offer a series of 17 cruises over four months. Unfortunately, those cruises are no longer going forward.<\/p>\n

In an email sent to guests, the cruise line shared, \u201cWe made the difficult decision to cancel all sailings onboard the Majestic Princess from Galveston, scheduled between November 2026 and March 2027, as part of our broader global fleet redeployment strategy.\u201d<\/p>\n

The company also expressed regret, saying, \u201cWe sincerely regret any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate the understanding as we work to enhance our global cruise offerings.\u201d<\/p>\n

Originally, the Majestic Princess<\/a> was going to reposition from New York and offer cruises to the Western Caribbean from Galveston, with stops in Cozumel, Costa Maya, and Isla de Roat\u00e1n in Honduras.<\/p>\n

Princess confirmed that all guests affected by the cancellations have been fully refunded, and the company is working to offer them other cruise options, including sailings from Galveston and other Caribbean itineraries.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe remain committed to delivering exceptional vacation experiences and look forward to welcoming guests onboard the Majestic Princess in its soon-to-be-announced deployment,\u201d the statement read.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Princess Cruises<\/a> is still on track to offer cruises from Galveston in the 2025-26 season. The Regal Princess is set to arrive later this year, with 4- to 8-night itineraries to destinations in the Western and Southern Caribbean.<\/p>\n

Princess made its return to Texas in December 2022 with the Ruby Princess, marking the end of a six-year absence. Since then, they\u2019ve expanded with the deployment of the larger Regal Princess, part of the Royal-class series.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
