Carnival Cruise Line<\/a> has introduced a new digital platform that eliminates the need for paper tickets on shore excursions, enhancing both convenience and efficiency for guests and tour operators. Instead of using physical tickets, guests can now check in for their excursions using their Sail & Sign card, which is linked to the Carnival HUB App. This integration allows for seamless boarding with participating tour operators and provides guests with digital confirmations and real-time updates, including meeting times and locations.<\/p>\n

The platform also offers increased flexibility by enabling tour operators to manage last-minute bookings and guest check-ins on the spot. This capability ensures that both guests and operators can adapt to changes and accommodate additional participants, making the shore excursion experience more dynamic and responsive.<\/p>\n

Sam Ackrill, Vice President of Shore Excursions for Carnival Cruise Line, emphasized that the new ticketless platform prioritizes guest convenience and equips tour operator partners with better tools. He noted that eliminating the need for physical tickets streamlines the check-in process and provides real-time functionality, offering more opportunities for tour operators and more choices for guests.<\/p>\n

Following a successful pilot launch in Australia earlier this year, the platform is set to be fully implemented for all shore excursions at Celebration Key, Carnival\u2019s new exclusive destination on Grand Bahama, by its opening on July 19. The cruise line is collaborating with local tour operators to provide training on the new system, ensuring a smooth transition and effective use of the platform.<\/p>\n

After the full implementation at Celebration Key<\/a>, Carnival plans to expand the digital platform across additional ports in The Bahamas, the Caribbean, and Mexico throughout 2025. The rollout is expected to reach Alaska and European itineraries by summer 2026, further enhancing the shore excursion experience for guests worldwide.<\/p>\n

This initiative aligns with Carnival’s commitment to sustainability by reducing paper waste and streamlining operations.
