Royal Caribbean International\u2019s newest ship, Utopia of the Seas<\/a>, just completed its first cruise to Cozumel, Mexico. The trip marked a big milestone for the ship, which usually sails to the Bahamas.<\/p>\n

The ship left Port Canaveral, Florida, on May 5, 2025, for a special four-night cruise. After two days at sea, it arrived in Cozumel on May 7. Guests had time to explore the island before the ship began its return trip. After another day at sea, the cruise ended back at Port Canaveral on May 9.<\/p>\n

Although this was an exciting new trip, Utopia of the Seas is not expected to return to the Western Caribbean soon. The ship will continue sailing short cruises to the Bahamas all year long.<\/p>\n

The ship offers three- and four-night cruises from Port Canaveral. These trips visit Nassau in the Bahamas and Royal Caribbean\u2019s private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay<\/a>. The short cruises are designed for guests looking for quick getaways with plenty of fun onboard.<\/p>\n

In mid-2026, Utopia of the Seas is scheduled to sail a four-night cruise to Labadee, Haiti. Labadee is another private destination owned by Royal Caribbean. That trip will include two full days at sea and a visit to the Haitian port.<\/p>\n

The ship will also offer its first-ever weeklong cruise in late December 2026. The seven-night Eastern Caribbean trip will celebrate Christmas on board. The itinerary includes visits to Charlotte Amalie in St. Thomas, Philipsburg in St. Maarten, and Perfect Day at CocoCay before heading back to Florida.<\/p>\n

Utopia of the Seas is the sixth ship in the Oasis class. Built in France at the Chantiers de L\u2019Atlantique shipyard, it joined the fleet in July 2024. With a weight of about 231,000 tons and space for 5,714 guests, the ship is one of the largest in the world. It was specially designed to offer short but exciting cruises packed with activities, entertainment, and dining options.<\/p>\n

Royal Caribbean<\/a> plans to expand the Oasis class even more. A new ship in this class is expected to join the fleet in 2028. That ship will follow the legacy of Utopia of the Seas by offering modern features and unique cruise experiences.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
