The Norwegian Star<\/a> has kicked off an exhilarating summer season in Northern Europe<\/a>, embarking on a series of Arctic itineraries from June to August. As part of this deployment, the 2001-built vessel is exploring iconic polar destinations, departing from Reykjavik, New\u202fYork\u202fCity, and Copenhagen.<\/p>\n

This summer\u2019s opening voyage sailed from Denmark in early June, a 12\u2011night \u201copen\u2011jaw\u201d expedition covering Kristiansand, Mal\u00f8y, \u00c5lesund, Honningsv\u00e5g, Akureyri, and \u00cdsafj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, culminating in Reykjavik. A highlight was an extended stop in Longyearbyen, the main settlement of Svalbard on Spitsbergen.<\/p>\n

A standout Greenland\u2011Iceland round\u2011trip from Reykjavik, departing August 21, is also featured. This 10\u2011night voyage will call at Grundarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, Akureyri, \u00cdsafj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, Paamiut, Nuuk, and additional Greenlandic ports such as Qaqortoq and Nanortalik.<\/p>\n

Beyond polar routes, Norwegian Star\u2019s summer positioning includes visits to Canada\u2019s east coast and Northern Europe. Top destinations include Edinburgh (Scotland), T\u00f3rshavn (Faroe Islands), and Corner Brook (Newfoundland).<\/p>\n

Following the Arctic season, the ship will transit to Western Europe and the Canary Islands<\/a>. In early December, Norwegian Star repositions to North America, commencing cruises from Tampa. Instead of the originally planned South America deployment, it will offer diverse four to 12-night voyages across the Bahamas and the Caribbean through April 2026.<\/p>\n

With a capacity for 2,348 guests, the Norwegian Star offers an immersive year-round itinerary, ranging from Arctic wilderness and Nordic culture to warm-weather escapes, providing flexibility and variety for passengers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
