We often ask this question whether someone is a mountain person or a sea person. No matter how breathtaking a mountainous view can be, the ocean always has its own charm. Those blue waves shining under the rays of sunlight do something to your soul whenever you see them. The glittering sand in the evening will make your brain go numb with calmness and peace. One such place is the Caribbean

If you are planning a beach vacation to the Caribbean for yourself or your family then you are going to have a guaranteed fun time. There are several ports in the Caribbean that thousands of tourists visit per year.  You can do a lot of beach activities in these ports. However, it might be a little confusing to choose which ports to visit.

What are the Major Ports in the Caribbean?

Since your vacation is limited to a set time frame, you need to make a list of major destinations that you need to cover. Coming to your rescue, we have curated a list of major ports in the Caribbean. So, let's take a look!

1. Labadee, Haiti

Surrounded by pristine waters, Labadee is one of the major ports located on the northern coast of Haiti. If you are planning a vacation to the Caribbean, this is one of the first ports that you need to visit. It is actually a private cruise resort that is part of the Royal Caribbean. The temperature around here is just moderate and you can spend a nice time exploring the island.

2. Nassau, Bahamas

The capital of the infamous Bahamas, Nassau is also a major part of the Caribbean. It is a famous destination for people who come to enjoy cruising. This port lies on the island of New Providence. The most attractive feature of Nassau is its offshore coral reefs. They have been the centre of attraction for a long time for tourists.

3. New Orleans, Louisiana

You must have heard this name in several films and TV shows. New Orleans, Louisiana is also one of the major commercial ports in the Caribbean. Mostly famous for its vibrant nightlife, you can have the best of times if you visit this city.
