The service charge is paid through your onboard account on a daily basis.
- Starting July 2, 2024, standard itineraries for the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Red Sea, UAE, and other alternatives: The charging rate is €12* per adult for each night and €6* per child (from 2 to 11 years of age); children under two are not charged.
- Prices go up to about $16* per adult and $8* per child for Caribbean, North American, South American, and Asian cruises.
- An extra service fee is added when buying at the bar: usually 15% in all other regions and 18% on itineraries in North America.
- Gratuities may be prepaid at the point of booking or paid on board. You can also approach Guest Services to request adjustments if you’re not satisfied.
- As daily service charges already cover the cabin, dining, and support staff, MSC discourages tipping the core crew by hand. Additional tips remain at the discretion of the guests for excellent services or incidental assistance.
