It's the Starting point of Cruises.

The city of Southampton is the departure point for cruises to the Baltic Sea, Mediterranean, and even further afield to the Caribbean. The town is usually flooded with passengers boarding ships or returning home. Stop by instead and see the many parks, galleries, and shops the city has to offer. A mini cruise would be a great place to start if you are interested in going on a cruise. The Channel Islands are accessible by mini-cruises departing from Southampton. Interesting Spots to Visit in Southampton

You're sure to discover something you love while visiting the dynamic city, no matter your reason. Whether you're unwinding before a cruise, checking out students' new homes, or enjoying some time to yourself, you're sure to find something you love.

SeaCity Museum

A multi-million-pound museum opened in Southampton in 2012 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the RMS Titanic's departure. The police station and magistrates' court building in the Civic Center complex were previously revamped for SeaCity. Southampton has been an important port since the Middle Ages, and "Gateway to the World" celebrates this history. Until 1967, RMS Queen Mary sailed between Southampton, Cherbourg, and New York, and its replica is a head-turner. As the story unfolds from the crew's perspective, many of whom were based in Southampton, "Titanic Story" offers fresh air on history's most infamous maritime disaster. The site provides audio accounts from survivors of the sinking and re-enactments from the court inquiry into the drop.

Titanic Trail

Many sites around New York are associated with the Titanic due to the ship's fateful maiden voyage from Southampton to New York. The Titanic Trail is an excellent resource for learning more about the city's connections to the ship. Visit the SeaCityMuseum website or contact local tourism offices for maps. In East Park, the remarkable Titanic Engineers' Memorial is a beautiful bronze and granite monument dedicated to the 35 Titanic engineers who perished in the disaster. In the nearby Titanic Musicians' Memorial, musicians commemorate their contributions to the ship.

Tudor House and Garden

You can't miss the Tudor House and Garden in Southampton, one of Southampton's oldest and most important Tudor buildings. The half-timbered building dates back more than 800 years to the 15th century when the city was founded. When it was built, it occupied a large plot of land in Southampton, a much smaller city. In modern times, it offers a glimpse into the region's rich history and is worth a look inside. Exploring the exhibitions and rooms, you can learn the lowdown on everything from the Victorian and Edwardian eras. It's a beautiful place to live.

Old Town

A plaque marks Southampton's Old Town's medieval town walls, among the best-preserved in England. Visit more than 90 listed buildings and 30 ancient monuments as you explore the city's historic architecture! Discover Southampton's history to make your stay more enjoyable. View medieval churches, wine vaults, and Georgian hotels while admiring the waterfront.

New Forest National Park

If you're looking for a little getaway from the city, New Forest is one of England's national parks. You can get away from it here, with its trails, rolling hills, heathland, and woodland. There's nothing better than a stroll along the Solent Way. You don't need to complete the whole route in one go -- it's about 60 miles long! The New Forest Water Gardens are also worth a look if you have time. The spot is gorgeous on a sunny day and is one of my favorite places. Alternatively, you can head across to Calshot Beach if you want to spend the day at the beach in the New Forest. Remember to pack your sunscreen! The wind can be deceiving on your skin!
