Smoking Policy

  • Violation results in a $500 charge per violation and possible disembarkation.

Age Restrictions

  • Drinking alcoholic beverages: 21 years and older. 
  • Casino: 18 years and older to play, not permitted under 18. 
  • Spa Carnival and fitness center: Not permitted under 12, 12-16 must be accompanied by an adult. 
  • Lounges, shows, and dance club: Under 18 must be accompanied by an adult, must vacate dance club by 10:00 pm, not allowed at Midnight Shows.

Dress Code: Daytime Attire

  • Casual attire recommended. 
  • Includes shorts, tee shirts, polo shirts, khakis, summer dresses, light-weight sweater or jacket, bathing suits, and comfortable shoes. 
  • Proper attire required in the Lido Restaurant at all times.

Evening Attire

  • Cruise Casual dress code for main dining room(s). 
  • Men: sports slacks, khakis, jeans, long dress shorts, collared polo shirts. 
  • Women: summer dresses, casual skirts, pants, capris, dress shorts, jeans, blouses, and tops. 
  • “Cruise Elegant” dress code for formal evenings, number of formal evenings depends on cruise duration. 
  • Men: dress slacks, dress shirts, sport coat, suit and tie, or tuxedo. 
  • Women: cocktail dresses, pantsuits, elegant skirts, blouses, and evening gowns. 
  • Respectful clothing and accessories required, no offensive or inappropriate messages.

Holidays/Events, Carnival Journeys

  • Special outfits recommended for themed events and celebrations. 
  • Examples include "Ugly Sweater Contest," "Frightfully Fun" Halloween cruises, and "Throwback Sea Day" during Carnival Journeys cruises. 

Medical Facilities

  • Medical centers meet or exceed industry standards and are staffed by qualified physicians and nurses. 
  • Medical staffing varies based on the ship's size, ranging from one physician and three nurses to two physicians and five nurses. 
  • Ship's physicians meet or exceed credentialing guidelines and must have certain qualifications and certifications. 
  • Medical facilities equipped with standard lifesaving equipment and advanced medical technology.

Medical Emergencies

  • Ship's Physician makes decisions regarding air evacuation or emergency disembarkation during medical emergencies. 
  • Captain is immediately notified to assess the situation and communicate with appropriate rescue agencies. 
  • Disembarkation methods include diverting the ship, transferring to shore side medical facilities, or using helicopter/rapid boat (no helipads on Carnival ships).

Packing Tips

  • Baggage limitations: One bag per person on 3-5 day cruises, two bags per person on 6+ day cruises. 
  • Maximum weight of 50 pounds per bag, dimensions not to exceed 16 inches high, by 24 inches wide (length not a factor). 
  • Certain items should be carried personally, such as boarding documentation, valuables, medications, and toiletries. 
  • Recommended items include a collapsible daypack, sunglasses, rain jacket, sunscreen, camera, and personal electronics.

What Not to Pack

  • Prohibited items include weapons, candles, irons, alcohol, or other dangerous goods. 
  • Security safety scanning is conducted, and prohibited items will be removed without compensation.

Wi-Fi

  • Wi-Fi available on board with different plans based on internet access needs. 
  • Social Wi-Fi plan includes access to popular social websites and applications. 
  • Value Wi-Fi plan includes access to social websites, email, news, entertainment, sports, weather, and more. 
  • Premium Wi-Fi plan offers the fastest connection and supports apps like Zoom and Skype. 
  • Limitations include one device connected at a time and no VPN connections.

Alcohol Policy and Drinks Packages

  • Minimum age for purchasing and consuming alcohol is 21 years. 
  • Guests limited to a maximum of 15 alcoholic beverages per person, per day. 
  • Certain non-alcoholic beverages allowed in carry-on luggage on embarkation day, including a limited quantity of water, sodas, and other beverages. 
  • Prohibited items include alcohol, with an exception for one 750 ml bottle of wine or champagne per person during embarkation. 
  • Corkage fee of $15.00 USD charged for consuming personal wine or champagne in certain venues. 
  • Bottled water available for purchase before the cruise or on board. 
  • Distilled water can be purchased or brought along with CPAP machine. 
  • Coolers must be small, personal-sized, and no larger than 12” x 12” x 12” for carry-on luggage. 
  • Duty may apply to liquor purchased on board and taken home. 
  • Alcohol purchased in ports of call or The Fun Shops will be stored for safekeeping until debarkation morning or delivered to guest staterooms. 
  • Limits on alcohol products sold in The Fun Shops for pre-cruise orders. The CHEERS! Beverage Program must be purchased for each adult in the stateroom.
