Kids and Teens Activities on Rotterdam Cruise Ship

Explore All Activities for Kids and Teens on Rotterdam

On Rotterdam, there exist well-planned environments and activities for kids and teens in order to see that young cruisers have time, meet new folks, and participate in activities that are developmentally suitable all the way through. Below are some of the different alternatives for children and teenagers.

Programs for Children (Ages 3–6)

In a safe and supervised atmosphere, young cruisers between the ages of three and six take part in a wide variety of fun things to do. Crafts, interactive games, and themed parties like Ships Ahoy Pirate Treasure Hunt Adventure and Dino-Mite Night are some of the activities on offer. Throughout the day, painting, creativity, and exploration are all stressed.

Programs for Tweens (Ages 7–11)

Tweens participate in a variety of age-appropriate activities such as video games, competitive sports, arts and crafts, and themed parties. These activities are designed for tweens to become more autonomous, make new friends, and have fun on the cruise.

Programs for Teens (Ages 12–17)

Adolescents enjoy their independence with a number of relaxed hangouts, friendly contests, and evening activities that include video game tournaments and poker nights. They engage in group sports during the day and enjoy teen-favored entertainment and social environments by night: movies, music, and just hanging out.

Activities on Port Day

On port days, Club HAL runs programs from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., which allows parents to participate in shore excursions. Lunch will not be served, and children are free to return to the program after eating. Every child will require a parent or guardian to sign them out and back in.

Special Needs

Club HAL warmly welcomes children with special needs into an inclusive environment. Child supervision may be required depending on the needs of the child, and participation correlates with chronological age. It is always recommended that families advise ahead of time of any special needs on the cruise, so that staff members are adequately prepared to offer proper assistance and care.
