Book Cruise to Bahamas

What clothes should you bring on a Bahamas cruise? We can help you decide what to pack for a Bahamas cruise, whether you're taking a brief trip or travelling for a week. We've provided clothing suggestions so you know how to dress on a Bahamas cruise for formal nights, supper, excursions, and about the ship.

Because many Bahamas cruises are just three or four days long, while others are up to a week long, we've provided different styling options on this Bahamas cruise packing list.

What clothes should you bring on a Bahamas cruise?

Clothing for a cruise to bahamas should be light and comfy. The Bahamas may get hot and humid, and you're on vacation, so staying cool and comfortable is your best option!

Consider the weather prediction before deciding what to wear in the Bahamas. Summer temperatures range from 80 to 85 degrees Fahrenheit. In the winter, temps range from 70 to 78°F, and evenings on deck might be a little chilly, so pack a light cardigan or pashmina. The rainy season in the Bahamas lasts from June through November, with June and October being the wettest months. If you're going cruising during the rainy season, bring a jacket or poncho.

Clothing that is light and breathable

Rain showers in the Bahamas are brief and pass quickly. However, because you're living out of a suitcase, you'll need clothing that dries rapidly. For your cruise clothing, choose polyester, cotton, or linen fibres. Packing your favourite thick cardigan to snuggle up in is tempting, but don't. It will take a long time to dry, and nothing is more unpleasant than sitting in damp wool.

When in doubt, choose thin, lightweight, and loose-fitting apparel over tight, constraining ensembles. When you're climbing up the 66-foot-high limestone stairs of Nassau's Queen's Staircase or touring Lucayan National Park in suffocating heat, your body will appreciate clothes that don't stick to you. Pack shirts or dresses that can be thrown over a swimsuit if your day in port includes a trip to the town for lunch after the beach.

Unlike the United States, not all Bahamian sidewalks and roadways are paved. Keep your flip-flops on the beach and those cute but uncomfortable shoes on the ship.

Also, Check: Which cruise line is best for the Bahamas?

Choose robust shoes for traveling, such as Keen's, Chaco, or Teva sandals, which are waterproof and comfortable on land and in the water. Pack footwear that you don't mind getting a bit soiled; in other words, your brand-new white shoes should definitely be relegated to "deck shoes" and used solely on the ship.

Women should avoid casual sundresses in favour of something more sophisticated, with a colour palette inspired by the coastal environment. That being said, a little black dress is always in fashion and would certainly turn heads on deck.

Many cruise lines also have a white party on board one night. White party clothing may be as casual or as fancy as you desire, so include a white set of shorts or jeans, a white t-shirt, or a white dress in your wardrobe for a Bahamas cruise.

Do I need formal clothes?

One dressy outfit, one resort casual evening outfit, an embarking day outfit, an on-excursion morning outfit, a disembarking day outfit, swimwear, and coverups are suggested for a  cruise to the Bahamas.

So start packing and plan your trip with cruisebooking.com for attractive deals and hassle-free booking.
