Guests with Special Needs
- Costa Cruises is committed to supporting guests with disabilities, following international regulations for emergency assistance.
- Guests with disabilities should inform Costa Cruises of their needs 40 days before departure, or upon booking confirmation if within 40 days.
- It’s recommended to arrange special assistance or medical equipment (such as wheelchairs) through a travel agent or directly with Costa Cruises during booking.
- An accompanying person can join at a cruise-only rate, staying in the same cabin as the disabled guest.
- To receive the discount, guests must inform Costa Cruises at the time of booking confirmation.
- Required documentation for accompanying guests must be submitted within 3 business days of confirmation.
- Accompanied guests will receive cabins equipped for disabilities, subject to availability.
- The free accommodation for the accompanying person cannot be combined with special family offers.
- For bookings with 3–4 adults, the accompanying person stays free in the 3rd or 4th bed or pays 50% under special family offers.
- Double occupancy with an adult and a minor passenger at a 50% fare grants the minor a free ticket.
- Disembarking may be difficult for guests with reduced mobility in certain ports, especially with disembarkation support vessels.

Travel Policy for Children and Infants
- Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult on our ships.
- Infants under 6 months old are not allowed onboard.
- The minimum age for passengers is 12 months for cruises lasting 15 days or more, and for certain other itineraries where safety for young children cannot be guaranteed.
Pregnancy
- Pregnant women who are 24 weeks or more into their pregnancy are not allowed onboard.
- A health certificate for both the mother and unborn child is required.

Travel Documents
Forms and Tickets:
- Boarding form from web check-in.

- The name on the tickets must exactly match the passport.
- Discrepancies may result in denied boarding and insurance cancellation.
- Incomplete documentation will lead to denied boarding/flight and incur a cancellation fee.
- Passports may be held by Costa personnel during the cruise.
- Passports can be provided to border services.
- Passport issuance is possible during excursions at the port of visit.
Children Under 18:
- Children under 18 need passports for travel.
- Outside the EU, children’s nationality may be recorded in their parents' passports, depending on local regulations.
- Check national regulations with local authorities.
- If children are traveling alone or without identified guardians, ensure all necessary travel documents are verified by the relevant authorities.
Security Checks
- Security staff will conduct checks on guests and luggage during boarding and disembarkation using X-rays and metal detectors.
- Each bag should not exceed a 20 kg weight limit; one bag per person is recommended.
- Hand luggage dimensions must be within 55x35x25 cm for X-ray inspection.
- Important items like medicines, electronics, and valuables should be packed in hand luggage.
- Cooperation with staff is appreciated to ensure efficient checks.
- Cabin baggage will also be checked during boarding.
- Prohibited items onboard include weapons, explosives, gases, infectious substances, drones, and live animals.
- Avoid purchasing weapons or similar items during shore excursions.
- If prohibited items are found, they must be surrendered to onboard Security staff.
- No liquids or food are allowed onboard, except for certain exemptions like personal care products, medicines, and certified diet foods.
- Regional products bought during stops will be held onboard and returned at the end of the cruise.

Smoking Ban
- Smoking, including cigarettes, cigars, and pipes, is prohibited in indoor public areas on Costa Cruises ships, except in designated "Cigar Lounge" areas.
- Electronic cigarettes are only permitted in cabins and designated "Cigar Lounge" areas.
- Smoking in outdoor public areas is allowed only in designated areas with ashtrays.
- Smoking is prohibited inside cabins but allowed on private balconies.
- Ensure cigarettes are properly extinguished and disposed of in ashtrays to avoid fire hazards.
