Health Precautionary Measures:
The email address and mobile number of the first passenger in each cabin must be provided at the time of booking:

Guests with Special Needs
- Costa Cruises is dedicated to supporting guests with disabilities, in line with international emergency assistance regulations.
- Guests with disabilities should notify Costa Cruises of their requirements 40 days before departure, or immediately upon booking if within 40 days.
- Special assistance or medical equipment (such as wheelchairs) is best arranged during booking, either through a travel agent or directly with Costa Cruises.
- An accompanying person may join at a cruise-only rate, sharing the same cabin as the guest with disabilities.
- To receive this discount, Costa Cruises must be informed of the time of booking confirmation.
- Required documentation for accompanying guests must be submitted within 3 business days of confirmation.
- Cabins designed for guests with disabilities will be provided, subject to availability.
- The free accommodation for the accompanying person cannot be combined with family promotional offers.
- For bookings with 3–4 adults, the accompanying person stays free in the 3rd or 4th bed or pays 50% under special family rates.
- In double occupancy with an adult and a minor passenger at a 50% fare, the minor’s ticket will be free.
- Disembarkation may be challenging in certain ports for guests with reduced mobility, especially when support vessels are used.
- Cabins for passengers with disabilities are identified with an "H".
Travel Policy for Children and Infants
- All children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult while traveling on Costa ships.
- Infants under 6 months old are not permitted onboard.
- For cruises lasting 15 days or more, and on specific itineraries where safety for young children cannot be assured, the minimum age requirement is 12 months.
Pregnancy
- Pregnant guests who are 24 weeks or more into their pregnancy are not permitted to travel on board.
- A valid medical certificate confirming the health of both the mother and unborn child is required before sailing.
- Costa Cruises does not assume liability for any pregnancy-related complications during the voyage.
Travel Documents
Forms and Tickets:
- Boarding form from web check-in.
- Cruise ticket with baggage tags.
- Plane or train tickets, if required.
- Summary of purchased services.
- Valid travel documents, such as an ID or a passport.
- Passengers are responsible for ensuring they have the correct documents to meet customs and immigration rules. Missing or incorrect documents will result in being denied boarding without reimbursement.
Passports and Visas:
- A valid passport is required for all guests.
- All necessary visas must be obtained before travelling.
- Name changes must be reported immediately.
- The name on the cruise ticket must match the passport exactly.
- Any discrepancies may cause denied boarding and cancellation of insurance.
- Incomplete documents will result in being denied boarding or flights, with cancellation fees applied.
- Passports may be kept by Costa personnel during the voyage.
- Passports can be presented to border authorities when required.
- Passport issuance may be arranged during excursions at certain ports.
Children under 18:
- Children under 18 must have passports for travel.
- Outside the EU, children’s nationality may be recorded in their parents’ passports, depending on national regulations.
- Always verify requirements with local authorities.
- If children travel alone or without their legal guardians, all required documents must be checked and confirmed with the relevant authorities.
Security Checks
- Security staff will carry out checks on guests and luggage during boarding and disembarkation using X-ray machines and metal detectors.
- Each bag should not weigh more than 20 kg; one bag per person is recommended.
- Hand luggage must not exceed 55x35x25 cm to pass through X-ray inspection.
- Essential items such as medicines, electronics, and valuables should be kept in hand luggage.
- Guests are asked to cooperate with staff to ensure smooth and efficient checks.
- Cabin baggage will also be inspected during boarding.
- Prohibited items include weapons, explosives, gases, infectious substances, drones, and live animals.
- Guests should avoid buying weapons or similar items during shore excursions.
- Any prohibited items found must be handed over to the onboard Security staff.
- Liquids and food are not permitted, except for personal care products, medicines, and certified diet foods.
- Regional products purchased during excursions will be collected onboard and returned at the end of the cruise.

- Guests should familiarize themselves with the ship’s safety procedures upon boarding.

- Check the daily program for the scheduled emergency exercise times.

Restaurant Service
Special Diets:

- Guests should confirm dietary requests at boarding with Customer Service and restaurant managers.
- Guests bringing their own diet products must inform the Maître d’ after boarding.
Vegan Menu:
- Available upon request when booking.
- Includes vegan dishes from starters to desserts in the main restaurants.

Beverage Packages:
- Personal, non-transferable, and non-shareable.
- Must be purchased by all guests in the same cabin or under the same booking number.
- Alcoholic packages are for guests 18+ (21+ in the United States).
- Covers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages by the glass.
- Valid starting from the day of arrival.
- Whole bottles of wine or spirits are not included.
- Excludes mini bar products, cabin service, and prestige brands (except the Connoisseur package).
- Service will be refused by intoxicated guests.
Note: A 15% service charge applies to bills in onboard bars and restaurants.
On-board Payment System
Costa Card:
- Provided at boarding for all onboard expenses.
- Linked directly to your cabin account, eliminating the need for cash.
- Activation requires registering a credit card or depositing €150/USD within 24 hours.
- Additional deposits may be made during the cruise.
- The card will be blocked if expenses exceed €200/USD without registration or deposit.
- Account details can be checked through the Costa App or onboard displays.
Credit Card Payments:
- Register your card within 24 hours using the ship’s Ingenico devices.
- Daily charges are automatically applied to the registered card.
- Accepted cards: American Express, Visa, Mastercard.
- A PIN is required under banking regulations.
- Not accepted: Debit cards, prepaid cards, VISA Electron, Postepay, Postamat, Cirrus Maestro.
- Verify card eligibility with your bank before departure.
Cash Payments:
- An initial deposit is required to activate the account.
- Deposits and final settlements can be managed at the Cash Deposit Machine.
- Refunds are available in cash or by bank transfer.
- Bancomat Payments:
- Available on cruises operating in the euro currency.
- Deposits and final payments can be made using Ingenico devices.
- Credits function the same as cash payments.
Bank Check Payments:
- Accepted only from Italian banks with branches in Italy.
- Maximum allowed per check: €3,500, with Centax authorization.
- Valid for both deposits and final payments.
Currency and Exchange:
- The onboard currency is listed in the Service Fees table.
- The Currency Exchange Office can be reserved by phone.
- Cash advances are not provided at the office.
Smoking Ban
- Smoking, including cigarettes, cigars, and pipes, is not permitted in indoor public areas on Costa ships, except in designated Cigar Lounge areas.
- Electronic cigarettes may only be used in cabins and designated Cigar Lounge areas.
- Smoking in outdoor public spaces is allowed only in marked areas with ashtrays.
- Smoking is not allowed inside cabins but is permitted on private balconies.
- Always ensure cigarettes are fully extinguished and disposed of in ashtrays to prevent fire hazards.
