Carnival Cruise Line has introduced a new onboard dining concept called Express Dining, giving guests a quicker way to enjoy a multi-course dinner without spending too much time in the main dining room.
The new option is designed for travelers who want a full dinner experience but prefer to keep their evening schedule flexible. With Express Dining, guests can complete a multi-course meal in under one hour, making it easier to attend shows, explore onboard activities, or simply relax afterward.
The service is available nightly and is designed for groups of six guests or fewer. While the menu includes a slightly shortened selection compared to the standard main dining room offerings, the cruise line says the dishes still feature the same quality and flavors that guests expect from Carnival’s traditional dining experience.
According to Christine Duffy, the idea behind Express Dining came directly from guest feedback.
“Our guests continue to tell us they value greater flexibility in how they spend their time on board, and Express Dining was designed with that in mind,” she said.
Carnival tested the concept through a pilot program, which received positive feedback from passengers who appreciated the ability to enjoy a structured dinner without committing to a lengthy dining schedule.
Duffy added that the cruise line is excited to expand the program across the fleet, allowing guests to enjoy the same attentive service and high-quality dishes found in the main dining rooms while freeing up more time for other onboard experiences.
The new dining option is already available on 15 ships in the Carnival fleet, including:
Carnival plans to expand Express Dining across its entire fleet by the end of May, making the faster dining option available to even more travelers.
With this move, the cruise line continues to focus on giving guests more control over their vacation schedules while maintaining the lively dining experience that Carnival ships are known for.
