The Disney Cruise Line has added South Eleuthera native Bernadette Sweeting-Miller to its public affairs team in Eleuthera, Bahamas.

A Disney Cruise Line veteran with over 20 years of administrative experience, Sweeting-Miller will manage the local office in Eleuthera. For those interested in learning more about Eleuthera’s new island destination, she will serve as the primary contact.

Disney Cruise Line regional public affairs director Joey Gaskins welcomed Bernadette Sweeting-Miller to the company. “She brings years of work experience, valuable community relationships, a deep understanding of Eleuthera and its rich culture, and a commitment to Eleuthera,” Gaskins said.

Further, Sweeting-Miller will serve as the liaison for local businesses interested in supplying goods and services to Disney Cruise Line’s new destination, as well as community members in Eleuthera who are interested in joining the Disney Cruise Line’s team.

In addition to joining a company that is dedicated to making a positive impact in the community where I grew up, Sweeting-Miller said joining this company means so much to her. The new island destination at Lighthouse Point will be developed in cooperation with local businesses, and Bahamians will be involved in its development and operations, said Sweeting-Miller.
