Norse Goddess of the Plow
Gefjon is credited with founding the Danish island of Geelan. When the ruler of Sweden offers her all the land she and four oxen can till in a day and night, she turns her four sons into beasts of her burden. Together they pulled some of the soil from the mainland and dumped it into the sea to create Sealand. This mighty act earned Gefyon veneration among the gods.
