Emissary of the King of Norway
Osfrid was one of the leaders of the first recorded Norwegian mission to England, ordered by King Harald I of Norway. Harald corresponded with Athelstan, king of Wessex, and the Norwegian king sent Osfrid and Helgrim to England.
