Viking Sky Cruise Ship Dining

Book Viking Sky Cruise

Explore All Dining Options on Viking Sky

The Viking Sky has many dining options, all of which offer regional cuisines. The cost of the cruise includes food offered at different venues, including self-service and a la carte restaurants. The content of every meal corresponds to the area and includes fresh ingredients from that particular region. The Dining Options have been curated in detail, and you can get them below.

Mamsen’s:

It offers a Norwegian interpretation of comfort food. In the morning, the restaurant serves piping hot and freshly made waffles in the Explorers' Lounge. They can be served with sour cream, berries, cheese, or chocolate sauce. Muffins, herring, and fruits are also available in the morning. The Living Room Bar offers lunch dishes such as open-faced bread with gravlax and steak tartare. Thinly sliced meats and bacon pea soup are still available in the late hours.

The Restaurant:

The restaurant serves as the ship's formal dining venue for dinner and is considered an alternative to the World Cafe for a quiet breakfast. Sea days and certain port days will not see the offering of lunch onboard. The room has large windows, blue pales adorned with white tablecloths, a huge wine cellar, and a minibar. There are no reservations required. The breakfast thus includes everything from hot to cold dishes, while lunchtime is supplemented with more variety, including salads, sandwiches, and heavy meals. Each port of call is represented through the changing menu of appetizers, mains, and local dishes for dinner. Healthy and vegetarian food is available. In addition to wines and sparkling wines, Viking provides craft and imported beers as well.

The Chef’s Table:

In the vicinity of the Chef’s Table, there is space for two, four, and six, while a separate cabin can accommodate about Twelve. Every three days comes with a featured rotating set menu, which includes Asiatic, sweet and salty, Norwegian, and French bistro cuisines. A five-course dessert comes along with each course and serves fine wines (premium wines are accessible too for those who desire them). The serving size is quite large but not unmanageable. Manfredi’s management is able to work around dietary needs during the booking process. Within Chef's Table, there is no charge for food, although booking in advance is advisable.

Manfredi’s Italian Restaurant:

Manfredi's Restaurant offers wonderful and delicious Italian cuisine. The warm and friendly atmosphere is complemented by a simple interior and a tastefully selected wine list. Some of these include fresh handmade pasta, seafood, and meats, among others. The restaurant is suitable for both everyday dining and special events. The cuisine at Manfredi's will undoubtedly give one a great touch of Italian culture and cuisine.

Aquavit Terrace (with al fresco dining):

You can look forward to enjoying an incredible outdoor dining experience. The eatery has a serene environment and cuisine that offers seasonal, fresh ingredients. The fresh air and scenic views come in handy for any meal, light refreshment, or drink without any rush, thanks to the spacious and cozy terrace. The cool breeze will definitely uplift a cruise passenger's ten-course meal experience, be it breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Pool Grill:

The pool grill offers an informal lunch or evening snack with food cooked on order. There are more options like the Viking Burgers or the Seared Ahi Tuna dishes. A small salad bar is also available for a lighter meal.

Explorers’ Lounge:

The lounge is situated at the end of the vessel, and the ship comprises two levels. It has slid from the floor to the ceiling and has a calm blue theme. This area is decorated with various explorer motifs that include telescopes, globes, tali cloth, models of spears, and axes. During the daytime, guests are provided with soft couches with faux fur throw blankets and waffles, coffee, and the view of the horizon, all while a water mist 'fire' sets the scene. At night, the lounge gets mystical with constellation projections and passageways lit up by a galaxy. A small half-circular bar that is attended to servers has live piano music, and there is a small dance floor and bar.

Aquavit Bar:

It is behind The World Café. At lunch, even the washroom is taken over by um-called waiters who fetch drinks for the travelers. The restaurant is still open for late dinner but remains largely quiet even after dinner. The Aquavit Bar is a fine place for city dwellers who want somewhere free of the hustle and bustle to sip their drinks. The bar is popular also because of the many different types of cocktails served and the warm staff.

World Café:

Various spectacular delicacies from around the globe are presented at the World Café onboard the Viking Sky. Anytime is a good time, and food is available all day. The menu rotates every day with foods from different countries, ranging from salads to soups and even a number of main dishes. The calm ambiance and tasty food at the World Café make it an ideal place to hang out for both light snacks and heavy meals.
