The most developed of Honduras' Bay Islands, Roatan, is located south of Belize. Cruise ships that head towards this island either dock at the capital of Coxen Hole or Mahogany Bay. Progreso is one of the most famous places in the Caribbean and is located about 30 miles from Merida north of Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula.
