Norwegian Pearl Europe Itineraries Updated for Summer 2026

By Cruise Booking Team

Norwegian Cruise Line has announced itinerary changes for the upcoming European season of the Norwegian Pearl, affecting at least two sailings scheduled for summer 2026. The adjustments, communicated to booked guests in early February, are part of the company’s response to revised port availability across several Mediterranean destinations.

The changes impact voyages sailing between Piraeus and Ravenna, two key embarkation and disembarkation hubs for Eastern Mediterranean cruises. Norwegian emphasized that while itineraries are carefully planned well in advance, port logistics and availability can sometimes shift, requiring updates to ensure smooth operations and a positive guest experience.

May 10, 2026, Sailing: Santorini Replaced with Mykonos

One of the affected departures is the seven-night cruise departing May 10, 2026. Originally scheduled to include a call at Santorini, the itinerary has been revised to feature a stop in Mykonos instead. Santorini is one of the Mediterranean’s most sought-after cruise destinations, and port congestion or berth limitations are common reasons for last-minute adjustments.

Despite the change, the sailing retains its port-intensive appeal. Guests will still visit several scenic and culturally rich destinations, including:

Additionally, Norwegian Cruise Line has adjusted the arrival and departure times in Kotor, giving guests an extra 30 minutes ashore to explore the town’s historic streets, fortress walls, and scenic bay.

June 21, 2026, Sailing: Split Replaces Zadar

A second itinerary revision affects the June 21, 2026, departure, which also sails from Piraeus to Ravenna. This voyage will now include a call to Split instead of Zadar. Split’s larger port capacity and popularity make it a practical alternative, offering guests access to Roman ruins, seaside promenades, and nearby island excursions.

The revised itinerary continues to highlight Adriatic and Greek destinations, including:

Arrival and departure times in Montenegro have also been adjusted for this sailing, though Norwegian has not specified the exact duration changes. Such refinements are typically made to optimize port traffic flow and enhance the guest experience.

Norwegian Cruise Line Explains the Changes

In its communication to guests, Norwegian Cruise Line reaffirmed its commitment to delivering a seamless and memorable vacation. The company noted that even the most carefully curated itineraries may require occasional updates due to port authority decisions, berth availability, or operational considerations.

Norwegian acknowledged that itinerary changes can be disappointing, particularly when popular destinations are affected. However, the cruise line emphasized that these adjustments can also create opportunities for guests to discover new destinations and enjoy a refreshed travel experience.

Refunds and Guest Support

Guests who pre-booked shore excursions for cancelled ports of call will receive automatic refunds to their original form of payment. Norwegian has encouraged travelers to review updated excursion options for the newly added ports and revised schedules.

The cruise line continues to work closely with port authorities throughout the Mediterranean to confirm arrangements and minimize disruptions. While itinerary changes are an occasional reality in cruise travel, Norwegian aims to maintain the overall quality and value of each voyage.

Looking Ahead to the 2026 European Season

Despite these updates, the Norwegian Pearl’s summer 2026 Mediterranean program remains rich in iconic destinations and cultural experiences. From the whitewashed villages of the Greek islands to the historic coastal cities of the Adriatic, guests can still expect an immersive journey through some of Europe’s most captivating regions.

Travelers booked on the affected sailings are encouraged to review their updated itineraries and explore new shore excursion opportunities as they plan their summer cruise adventure.
