There is a new specialty restaurant onboard the Carnival Venezia, the line’s newest ship, named Il Viaggio.
The country’s cuisine will take guests on a journey across Italy through Il Viagio, which means “the voyage” in Italian.
Carnival’s chief culinary officer, Emeril Lagasse, said highlighting the different Italian regions renowned for certain specialties would invite guests to experience an immersive exploration of flavors. “It’s a meal that’s truly unique, delicious, and an enriching experience,” he said. Guests will find their favorite Italian staples here, but they will also have the chance to try new dishes and drinks that might become favorites in their own right.
A regional specialty can be found on each item on the menu, bringing different tastes from different parts of Italy together. You can choose from many appetizers, entrees, desserts, wine, and cocktails. Bookings for Costa Venezia’s restaurant are now open for upcoming sailings.
Additionally, guests can sample signature dishes like the Pollo Parmigiana Pizza, prepared with a crispy chicken crust and tomato basil sauce, mozzarella, pepperoncini flakes, parmesan, and a honey-chili sauce, as well as the Lombata Milanese, pan-fried veal chop served with a green salad.
