The Celebrity Eclipse, a Solstice-class ship from Celebrity Cruises, had recently arrived in the Mediterranean in mid-august, for a fall season exploration of Southern Europe. Previously, it was busy completing its summer stint in Northern Europe. While on the way, it conducted a 12-night repositioning cruise from the Netherlands to Spain. The ports it visited during this journey include Amsterdam, Dover, Le Havre, Bilbao, Lisbon, Cádiz, Gibraltar, Palma de Mallorca, and Barcelona.
The Eclipse is now positioned to offer 10- to 12-night cruises for the fall season. The duration of the journey is from mid-August to late October 2025. It shall traverse from the Western and Eastern Mediterranean, with three main departure ports such as Barcelona, Spain; Piraeus, Greece; and Ravenna, Italy. Most itineraries shall focus on the Greek Isles and Adriatic sea, with ports like Zadar and Split in Croatia, Chania and Santorini in Greece, Kusadasi in Turkey, and Valletta in Malta forming the mainstay of these travel itineraries. Additional stops include Kotor in Montenegro, La Spezia in Italy, Villefranche in France, and Palma de Mallorca in Spain.
After the completion of the fall season trips till late October, the Eclipse will reposition to North America in Early November for a Caribbean winter season. Before it docks in Port Everglades, it will take advantage of the time and distance it has while repositioning. This shall be in the form of a 13-night trans-Atlantic crossing from Barcelona to Fort Lauderdale, with visits to Funchal and Lisbon in Portugal, eight days at sea, and a stop at the Royal Naval Dockyard in Bermuda. The final port Everglades will be the launchpad for winter Carribean season.
Built in 2010 at Meyer Werft in Germany, the 2,850-guest Celebrity Eclipse recently underwent a refurbishment at Damen Shipyard in Brest, France. The drydock added new staterooms and refreshed interior spaces, enhancing the ship’s modern appeal for its Solstice-class voyages.
