Celebrity Xcel to Feature New Dining and Entertainment for All-Day Couple Experiences

By Cruise Booking Team

Celebrity Cruises has revealed fresh dining and entertainment highlights for its newest ship, the Celebrity Xcel. The ship is designed to offer couples and guests an all-day experience at sea. It will introduce elevated options in both cuisine and onboard activities, especially for those looking for more connection and discovery during their cruise.

Bora, a brand-new al fresco rooftop restaurant, will make its debut on Celebrity Xcel. With panoramic ocean views, it will serve Mediterranean-style brunches during the day and seafood-based dinners in the evening.

Guests can enjoy brunch favorites like shakshuka eggs with coriander, avocado on sourdough toast, croissant eggs benedict with lemon-scented salmon gravlax, and French toast. The drink menu will include personalized Bloody Marys and brunch cocktails – all set to live music.

At night, Bora will shift to a romantic dinner atmosphere. The menu will highlight seafood-forward dishes with chef-led tableside service. Guests can look forward to plates such as seared branzino, fideos negros tostados, and lamb tagine, all served alongside live Greek and Italian music performances.

Michael Scheiner, chief marketing and product officer of Celebrity Cruises, said the goal is to help guests reconnect through shared experiences. He described Celebrity Xcel as a place where couples can enjoy “Date Night, All Day Long” with fresh food options and entertainment.

The entertainment onboard Celebrity Xcel will also get a major boost. The ship will feature three new theater shows created by talent from the worlds of theater, film, and television.

These productions will use cutting-edge lighting, lasers, and a large LED screen to create an immersive experience. With over 75 performers onboard, including singers, dancers, parkour artists, and specialty acts, it will be the largest entertainment team in the Celebrity fleet.

Lisa Lehr, vice president of entertainment for Celebrity Cruises, shared that the ship’s new lineup is the most expansive ever, including theater shows, interactive performances in The Club, themed parties, and live music options. The goal is to give guests a wide range of evening experiences.

After dinner, guests can head to the Piano Bar to sing along or enjoy two new interactive shows. They can also join themed dance parties, relax at a candlelit concert, or attend a country music night. The popular Shine the Night party will return as well, giving guests the chance to dance under the stars.

Celebrity Xcel is also launching the “Dream Makers” program, which allows guests to help shape the ship’s experience. Open to all travelers, this global community will vote on key elements of the cruise, including dining, décor, new shows, dance parties, and even the first headline performer.
