With the naming of the Queen Anne, Cunard celebrated a significant milestone in the construction of the ship
The iconic red and black funnel of Cunard was unveiled on April 14 at Fincantieri.
In May 2024, the ship will embark on its inaugural voyage after the funnel lift.
Cunard’s senior vice president, Angus Struthers, said: “We are thrilled to mark this important milestone in Queen Anne’s construction. With the installation of the funnel, the building process has advanced one step closer to completion. A distinctive red and black funnel stands as a symbol of our heritage and will be recognized as an iconic feature of Queen Anne.”
It was designed by Robert Napier, the owner of the shipyard that built Cunard’s first ships, whose ships have adorned Cunard’s fleet for 150 years.
A 3,000-guest ship, the Queen Anne, will boast the largest curated art collection at sea and span 14 decks. With White Star Service, five-star dining options, spa facilities, and new entertainment venues, the ship will offer Cunard’s recognizable experiences.
May 24, 2024 is the date for the Queen Anne’s inaugural voyage roundtrip from Southampton. A 14-night sailing trip to Kirkwall and Greenock will allow guests to explore remnants of the industrial past of the town. In a Princess Grill Suite, two people can share a room for £4,999.
