Disney Unveils New Features for Treasure, Set for Dec. 2024 Debut

By Cruise Booking Team

A seven-night Eastern Caribbean cruise with Disney Cruise Line’s new ship, the Disney Treasure, will begin its inaugural voyage from Port Canaveral, Florida, on Dec. 21, 2024. From Port Canaveral, seven-night itineraries will depart for the Eastern and Western Caribbean in 2024.

There are a number of new features planned for the LNG-powered vessel being built at Meyer Werft in Germany, according to the cruise line.

A brand-new family entertainment restaurant will be introduced to the Disney Treasure along with two beloved Disney Cruise Line restaurant concepts found on the Disney Wish.

A Disney and Pixar movie themed dining experience called Plaza de Coco will be the first in the world. As Miguel and his family gather at Mariachi Plaza for two nights of colourful, music-filled journeys celebrating family memories and togetherness, the story will continue where it left off on screen. With festive dinner menus featuring modern twists on traditional Mexican fare and live entertainment, the evening will be filled with celebration, celebrations, and laughter.

A dedicated show, character encounters and musical performance will take place in the ship’s atrium, the Grand Hall. For guests on the Disney Treasure, the “Aladdin”-themed Grand Hall is the ship’s most prominent gathering space, inspiring wonder and exploration throughout the voyage.

A central hub of daytime activities and evening entertainment, Sarabi is named for the lioness matriarch from Disney’s “The Lion King.” As well as featuring classics from the cruise line like “Match Your Mate” and “Family Time Game Show,” the space is uniquely designed to evoke the natural beauty of the savanna. There will also be new favorites from Disney Wish, including “Villain Game Night.”

Newly added is AquaMouse: Curse of the Golden Egg. This experience immerses guests in Mickey Mouse’s animated shorts. 760 feet of winding tubes will propel two-person ride vehicles high above the upper decks, offering spectacular views of the ocean and the ship below.

A zany misadventure into an ancient temple will follow Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse on board the Disney Treasure, introducing AquaMouse’s all-new storyline. In pursuit of the legendary treasure within the mysterious ruins, the pair will take a series of hilarious mishaps and booby traps on their trek that take them in unexpected directions.
