Disney’s Lighthouse Point will welcome guests in Summer 2024

By Cruise Booking Team

Disney Cruise Line has announced that it will be welcoming guests to Lighthouse Point, an island destination in the Bahamas, in the summer of 2024. This is according to a press release. Sharon Siski, senior vice president and general manager of Disney Cruise Line, said: “We are connected in many ways, including our shared values of storytelling and hospitality. The opening of Lighthouse Point will allow visitors from all over the world to truly appreciate its natural and cultural beauty. You’ll experience the magic of the Bahamas in many different ways to celebrate.”

Created in collaboration with local artists and consultants, our island retreats are designed with families in mind and reflect the uniqueness of Bahamian culture. Sustainability is a key concern in creating Lighthouse Point, the company said.

About 90% of the retreat’s power needs are met by on-site solar arrays, while elevated walkways help limit environmental impact. “Lighthouse Point is a place of natural beauty, so our goal has always been to design designs that organically highlight that nature,” says Kevin Thomas, Creative Director of Walt Disney Imagineering. Was created “We focus on sustainable, low-density development that protects and conserves the environment and lets the site’s biodiversity shine.” At Destination, families can relax on Big Family’s beaches, enjoy active adventures, and experience Bahamian stories with their favorite Disney characters. Lighthouse Point also offers activities for all ages.

The destination also includes a Bahamian Arts and Culture Pavilion with special programs where guests have the opportunity to learn from local artists. There is a play pavilion for children, a volleyball court, and a Gaga ball pit. Other leisure activities include watercraft and bicycle rentals. There is a themed kids club for ages 3 through 12, supervised by a Disney Cruise Line supervisor. Features splash pads inspired by Walt Disney Animation Studios characters such as The Little Mermaid.

Guests can also enjoy an adults-only beach with dedicated dining areas and all-day food and beverage access. The cruise line is also partnering with local tour operators to develop a series of port adventures that allow guests to explore Elecera.
