Geneva, Switzerland, May 27, 2025 — Yesterday, MSC Cruises decided to station MSC Opera in the Southern Caribbean year-round for the Winter 2026/27 and Summer 2027 seasons. This marks the line’s first summer deployment in the region and the first time two ships will operate there during winter. Sales for these new itineraries are now open.
MSC Opera will offer a variety of seven-night cruises. Passengers have the option to stretch their itinerary into 14-night “butterfly” voyage, visiting stunning destinations such as the Dominican Republic, Martinique, Guadeloupe, the British Virgin Islands, Barbados, Antigua and Barbuda, and the Netherlands Antilles. The ship will homeport in La Romana, Dominican Republic, a new regular port for MSC Cruises, starting November 16, 2026. MSC Opera’s itineraries also include 10 additional ports for exploration such as Oranjestad (Aruba), Bridgetown (Barbados), Kralendijk (Bonaire), Willemstad (Curaçao), Samaná Bay (Dominican Republic), Saint George (Grenada), Pointe-à-Pitre (Guadeloupe), Philipsburg (Netherlands Antilles), Basseterre (Saint Kitts and Nevis), and Road Town (British Virgin Islands).
For the Winter 2026/27 season, MSC Opera will be joined by MSC Seaview, which will offer seven-night sailings from Fort-de-France to destinations including Pointe-à-Pitre (Guadeloupe), Philipsburg (Sint Maarten), St. John’s (Antigua and Barbuda), Basseterre (Saint Kitts and Nevis), Roseau (Dominica), Bridgetown (Barbados), Kingstown (St. Vincent and the Grenadines), Saint George (Grenada), and Castries (Saint Lucia). This two-ship deployment enhances MSC Cruises’ offerings, providing guests with diverse options to explore the Southern Caribbean’s sun-soaked shores year-round.
