MSC Cruises has shared a fresh list of entertainment and activity options coming to Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve in the Bahamas. These new additions will launch in January 2026 and will enhance the island’s current choices like snorkeling, paddleboarding, and jet skiing.
The cruise line said the upgraded program focuses on wellness, family fun, and educational experiences. Two professional coaches from MSC ships sailing in the U.S. will lead daily wellness and sports sessions on the island.
Guests can participate in unique activities, such as a fire-and-ice challenge that combines hot yoga with ice baths. There will also be sunrise yoga paired with sound-healing meditation for those who want a calm start to their day.
MSC Cruises is also introducing an augmented reality treasure hunt designed for all ages. Guests can use their phones or tablets to scan wooden sculptures placed around Ocean Cay. Each scan unlocks a short AR story linked to a specific environmental topic.
These stories explain the ecological challenges the region faces and highlight the steps MSC Cruises is taking to support marine conservation. Children can also learn about the island’s sea life, plants, and natural surroundings through these interactive features.
Families arriving at Ocean Cay will now be greeted by a special Lego pop-up at the Welcome Pavilion. This setup includes seven Lego mascots along with MSC Cruises’ own character, Doremi, making it an engaging start for young travelers.
Ocean Cay features eight beautiful beaches and a new Marine Conservation Centre. Visitors can explore the centre to learn more about the MSC Foundation’s coral restoration and conservation projects happening on the island.
These new experiences aim to offer guests relaxation, learning, and family-friendly fun while supporting Ocean Cay’s mission to protect the marine environment.
