The Carnival Venezia has officially joined the Carnival fleet

By Cruise Booking Team

On March 22, 2023, Captain Tihomir Muzic handed over the Carnival Venezia, formerly owned by Costa, to captain Claudio Cupisti.

In May, Carnival Venezia will debut as the company’s first ‘Fun Italian Style’ ship following a dry dock, according to Carnival’s president, Christine Duffy.

It has been a pleasure working with Carnival family members on this ship, Costa and all those who will bring Carnival touches to it over the next two months.”

The Carnival Venezia is scheduled to depart Barcelona on May 29, 2023 for a 15-day transatlantic Carnival Journeys journey. The ship is set to begin sailing from New York’s Manhattan Cruise Terminal on June 15, 2023. There will be 22 unique itineraries that range in length on Carnival Venezia.

This ship was built in 2019 and can accommodate up to 5,145 guests, as well as 1,393 crew members.

With an atrium patterned after Venice’s main public square, Piazza San Marco, the building features an Italian architectural design.

There will also be a variety of new food and beverage offerings at the Carnival Venezia, including La Strada Grill, a Mexican fusion restaurant Tomodoro, a similar-to-Alchemy-Bar Amari, and Frizzante.

With new entertainment opportunities like the Italian Street Party, Gondola Lounge, and Carnevale Bar and Lounge at guests’ disposal, there is no shortage of entertainment options.
