Norwegian Cruise Line announced that the headline production for Norwegian Viva will be “Beetlejuice” The Musical.

Herrera.  With our onboard offerings, we aim to push the envelope, exceed expectations, and put our guests first. The new Norwegian Viva will bring all the whimsy and nostalgia of ‘Beetlejuice’ to this summer.”

Broadway’s Tony Award-winning musical (adaptation of Tim Burton’s 1988 film) revolves around the Deetz family remodeling a haunted house. With special effects, the production will be performed at the Norwegian’s three-story Viva Theatre & Club.

According to Richard Ambrose, Senior Vice President of Entertainment and Cruise Programming, “Our goal is not only to deliver amazing performances to theater fans, but to introduce guests to Broadway and West End shows of the highest caliber. With an incredible setting that seamlessly transforms from a theater experience into an expansive nightclub, the Viva Theatre & Club is an incredible venue.”

A cast member of the Broadway production of the musical, Michelle D’Amico, will also join the Norwegian Viva in her role as Lydia. In addition to the tune classics, guests will also have the chance to meet the “Lydia” from the musical.

Additionally, the Norwegian Viva will offer live game show experiences through “Press Your Luck LIVE”, a game show debuting on the Norwegian Prima last year. Audience members are invited to participate in the show, where grand prizes are given away.

Among the returning guest favorites on Norwegian’s newest ship are Improv @ Sea Comedy Club, Syd Norman’s Pour House, and more.
