Disney Cruise Line announces new island destinations and deployment plans for 2024

By Cruise Booking Team

There are a number of deployment updates for Disney Cruise Line as well as the opening dates and itineraries for its new island destination in the Bahamas.

“With our newest island destination Lighthouse Point in The Bahamas, Disney Cruise Line will take families to new places during summer 2024,” said Sharon Siskie, Disney Cruise Line’s senior vice president and general manager.

The expedition will also include exciting stops in Alaska and the Caribbean and will return to Europe. In addition to world-class dining and dazzling entertainment, Disney Cruise Line sailings also offer character encounters and legendary guest service, all of which our guests have come to expect from Disney.”

Lighthouse Point will be the new destination for Disney Cruise Line on Eleuthera in June 2024. Guests will get a sneak peek of Lighthouse Point, a beach retreat designed with families in mind and committed to conservation, on a three-night preview cruise from Fort Lauderdale on June 6.

From Port Canaveral, Florida, the Disney Fantasy will sail to Lighthouse Point, Massachusetts, on June 8. Two days will be spent at Castaway Cay and one day at Lighthouse Point on this new island destination itinerary.

The Disney Magic departing from Fort Lauderdale will call at Lighthouse Point during select three-, four-, and five-night sailings to The Bahamas and Caribbean. Both Disney Cruise Line island destinations will be featured on five special departures.

Summer 2024 will bring the Disney Dream back to European destinations, including the Mediterranean, Greek Isles, British Isles, Norwegian Fjords, and Iceland. New ports of call will be included in these cruises, including Valencia, Spain; Haugesund, Norway; and Hamburg, Germany. In addition, three Mediterranean destinations will make their first appearance on the sailings since 2014: Catania, Italy; Kusadasi, Turkey; and Valletta, Malta.

Besides Alaska cruises from Vancouver, Canada, Disney Cruise Line is bringing back cruises from May to September 2024 aboard the Disney Wonder. The itinerary will include five, seven and nine night journeys.

Castaway Cay will be visited by the Disney Fantasy and Disney Wish in summer 2024.
