Carnival Cruise Line is hosting its grandest vow renewal ceremony at sea for Valentine’s Day, with Chief Fun Officer Shaquille O’Neal virtually officiating the event. This year, the ceremony expands to include two new ships, the Carnival Venezia and Carnival Jubilee, allowing more couples the chance to reaffirm their love.

Following the ceremony, couples can enjoy an onboard reception featuring a DJ, champagne toast, and an entertaining kiss cam at the Seaside Theater, showcasing couples on a large screen.

Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line, highlighted the significance of such events, noting the alignment of love and fun on Carnival cruises. She mentioned the cruise line’s history of hosting significant life events, including meetings, engagements, and marriages. “Love and fun go hand in hand, so a vow renewal or wedding ceremony is even more special when it’s part of a Carnival cruise. We have a team of experienced planners who make it their mission to ensure unforgettable celebrations between loved ones and their friends and families.”

In the previous year, Carnival facilitated over 1,220 weddings and vow renewals on its ships. The cruise line also offers various ceremony options at sea or in different locations through its Weddings by Carnival program.
