Carnival Cruise Line’s Legend began its summer program from Barcelona, Spain, after undergoing major renovations at the Chantier Naval de Marseille in France.
The ship now features several new offerings, updated spaces, and enhancements to public areas. Key upgrades include the addition of the Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge, which highlights the army boots of Deshauna Barber, the godmother of Carnival Horizon and a captain in the United States Army Reserve.

New onboard features include Chef’s Table, Dreams Studio, and a dedicated space for Carnival Adventures. The Legend’s steakhouse has been revamped and renamed Fahrenheit 555, the casino has been expanded, and the spa has been rebranded as the Cloud 9 Spa and Fitness Center.
The ship’s retail shops have also been modernized, and a new mini golf course has been added to the top deck. For younger guests, the Circle C and Camp Ocean youth program spaces have been updated.
Throughout the 2024 Europe summer season, the Carnival Legend will offer a series of 16 sailings. Departure ports include Barcelona, Dover (London), UK, and Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy, with stops in destinations across Spain, Portugal, the UK, Iceland, Italy, and Greece. In October, the ship will embark on a transatlantic Carnival Journeys cruise to its new homeport of Tampa, Florida.
