Carnival Venezia made its inaugural call to Barbados on Oct. 10, kicking off the cruise season.

During the 2023-24 cruise season, Barbados anticipates 18 inaugural arrivals and 217 homeporting vessels.

The number of cruise passengers expected to visit the island is expected to exceed 700,000 with more than 25 cruise lines sailing from and to the island during the season.

No matter if cruisers are returning or if they are visiting for the first time, we are delighted to welcome them back. Our team of Barbadians is ready for our upcoming cruise season and excited to showcase the rich tapestry of Barbadian culture, delectable cuisine, vibrant traditions, and serene beaches to visitors. “This season promises to be one of our most memorable yet,” she concluded.

There is expected to be an increase in homeporting activity during the upcoming cruise season, which will allow travelers to commence or conclude their journeys from Barbados and extend their stays.

Visitors to the island can enjoy the Mount Gay rum distillery, Harrison’s Cave, the Lickrish Food Tours in Bridgetown, and Crane Beach in St. Philip.
