As part of a cruise from New York, the MSC Meraviglia made her inaugural call at Heritage Wharf in Bermuda on August 28.

According to a statement, the MSC Meraviglia is the largest vessel docking at Heritage Wharf this season.

The arrival of MSC Meraviglia in Bermuda is an important milestone for MSC Cruises as we continue to expand our presence in North America. Among our goals when launching cruises from New York City was to offer guests the option to visit a broader variety of destinations. As a result of the strong response to these itineraries, we expect thousands of visitors to Bermuda this year. As we continue to work with local leaders, we hope to deliver a distinctive and immersive cruising experience to our guests.”

As Minister of Transport Wayne Furbert said: “On behalf of the Government and people of Bermuda, we welcome Captain Maurizio Ruggiero and his Officers, crew and the 5,179 guests on board the MSC Meraviglia. Our best wishes to MSC Cruises for all they intend to accomplish in North America as we celebrate the inaugural call of the Meraviglia to Bermuda.”

The following morning, August 25, 2023, the MSC Meraviglia left Heritage Wharf.
