Southern Caribbean winter season completes for MSC Seaside

By Cruise Booking Team

The first season of MSC Seaside in the Southern Caribbean recently ended.

As a result of its November arrival in the region, the MSC Cruises ship has been sailing exclusively within it for the last five months.

Martinique-based, the 2017-built ship operated 17 sailings to Antilles and West Indies islands.

Among the destinations visited are Barbados, Guadeloupe, and St. Maarten, along with St. Kitts, Dominica, Antigua, Grenada, St. Vincent, Trinidad, and St. Lucia.

The event attracted guests from France, Italy, Germany, Britain, Brazil, and Latin America and residents from Martinique, Guadeloupe, and other Caribbean islands.

A summer program was launched on April 19 by the MSC Seaside at Port Canaveral.

Until mid-November, the Seaside Class will offer three- to seven-night trips to the Western Caribbean and the Bahamas to replace the MSC Meraviglia (which moved to NYC).

MSC’s private island in the Bahamas, Ocean Cay, will be included on the itinerary, which departs from the Central Florida homeport. Other Mexican destinations on the itinerary include Cozumel and Costa Maya.

Guests will also visit Nassau during the three- and four-night cruises.

A second winter season is planned for MSC Seaside after it finishes its U.S. program in late November.

The schedule includes seven-night cruises departing from Guadeloupe and Martinique through late March.

As the first vessel in the Seaside Class, the MSC Seaside launched in 2017.

The Italian-built 154,000-ton cruise ship has a series of restaurants, lounges, bars, an extensive open promenade, an extensive open deck, and three pools.
