Virgin Voyages is gearing up to share exciting news about its upcoming ship, the Brilliant Lady. Although the 2,770-guest vessel was delivered earlier this year, it has yet to set sail in Europe.
Now, Virgin Voyages seems poised to reveal more about Brilliant’s first season and future routes. The company recently posted teaser videos on its social media platforms and website, hinting at “something brilliant coming.”
According to Virgin Voyages, the announcement will feature “epic news” and introduce new ports. The teaser video showcases iconic landmarks across North America, including Seattle’s Space Needle, Los Angeles’ Hollywood Sign, and New York City’s Statue of Liberty.

The big reveal is scheduled for May 1, 2024, during a live broadcast on Virgin Voyages’ website.
Constructed by the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy, the Brilliant Lady is the fourth vessel in Virgin Voyages’ Lady Ship series.
Initially slated for a late 2023 debut, the 140,000-ton cruise ship’s inaugural season was cancelled in September. The company cited unexpected construction, supply chain, and staffing challenges as reasons for the decision.
“We want to make sure that when the ship launches, we can deliver the standards our Sailors have come to expect from an award-winning brand like Virgin Voyages,” the company stated.
Although a new launch date has not been announced, the vessel has remained docked in Italy since its delivery.
Virgin Voyages currently operates three ships, offering year-round voyages in the Caribbean and seasonal trips in the Mediterranean.
After cancelling its upcoming winter season in Australia, the company revealed plans to return to Northern Europe in August, with cruises departing from the United Kingdom onboard the Resilient Lady.
