Entertainment on the MS Nordlys Cruise Ship

Explore All Entertainment Facilities on MS Nordlys

The MS Nordlys offers fantastic spaces for both relaxation and adventure, making sure there’s always something to do while you’re at sea. It is designed to keep you engaged and entertained whether you're relaxing indoors or gearing up for outdoor adventures.

  • Panoramic Bars and Lounges: One of the most attractive features of the MS Nordlys is the amazing Panoramic Lounges the ship has. These lounges are aimed at offering optimum views of a changing scenery fitted with very large floor-to-ceiling windows. Whether you are passing over tranquil and snowy peaks, striking hilly fissures of the earth, or simply gazing at an ocean that seems to have no end, this guarantees you that you can seize everything in this position its at best. During the day, it’s a good ‘watch the scenery with a cup of coffee’ place, in the evenings however, you turn your gaze upwards and enjoy the beautiful Northern Lights. Every inch of these lounges has soft and plush chairs or sofas where all you do is recline back and soak in the warm ambience.
  • Expedition-Style Entertainment: On the MS Nordlys, you will find a type of entertainment called Expedition-Style. Go to a shipboard show or casino – such extravagance does not fit in here; this ship aims at pleasing its audience by educating them. The focus will be on the region which can be explored with the help of experts through their presentations and rich video materials about the environment, flora and fauna and tribes of the places, which will be available onboard. The thrill of exploring a new place includes threats from wildlife such as whales, puffins, and seals, and seeing them through the ship’s windows when the crew encourages it. And depending on the time of year, you will also be able to get off the ship for longer, less structured small group expeditions such as hiking, snowshoeing, or kayaking. Its all very much about learning on the way and getting even closer to mother Nature.
  • Activity Center: The Activity Center is one of the places that guarantee fun outdoor activities while on board. This is where one can find the expedition team, book some shore excursions, and even rent whatever equipment one needs. From a pair of trekking boots, and even to a pair of binoculars, the Activity Center sees to it that its clients are served well. The personnel here are well experienced on the destinations and will ensure that there is value in every port stop that you make by offering assistance. In addition, they will also orient you about the place as to what can be found in it, be it an animal that is not often seen or a place within the city that is not very commercialized.
  • Kompass: Kompass is like an information desk, a help center, and a resource center, all combined into one. In this area, you are able to inquire about any type of available excursion, find out about meals for the day, or require assistance with almost anything, for instance, Wi-Fi or services that are provided on board. In cases when you will want to check what time is the starting of a certain lecture is, or you want to know what is the best outfit to wear for a shore landing, staff members within Kompass will come in handy. They are also very informative about the area and offer advice on the best ways to enjoy the trip. You may also pick up some maps, leaflets, or even little gifts for your relatives from here.
  • The Lecture Hall: The Lecture Hall is one of the rooms in which the knowledge aspect of the trip can be pursued more seriously. There you are going to participate in several presentations and local lectures on such topics as marine biology, geology, history, and ethnography. The purpose of these lectures is to prepare you for the regions you are going to visit and provide some additional information, whether it is about the Arctic with its ecosystems or the coastal tribe's history. These talks are participatory and usually have follow-up Q&A sessions, allowing further discussion with the panels and therefore, enhancing the overall experience. And it’s not just about that; it’s also about enjoying the development of the countries and the regions that you visit.
  • Observation Deck: In terms of panoramic views, the Observation Deck takes the cake. This area is without a roof, thus giving a full-standing 360-degree view of almost everything it is surrounded by. It is also very good for looking out for wildlife, and because you are in some of the dirtiest and exotic places on earth, you may be surprised what you can get to see. Whatever it is whales at a distance in pods, deep glaciers or simply breathing fresh air, the Observation deck is one attraction not to miss. Even more important, the deck offers great photography opportunities at any time of the day but sunrise on sunset at this deck is magical.
  • Seating Area: Inside the ship, we also have different seating areas, and you will be able to find plenty to sit on and enjoy some peaceful moments. These places are available in plenty and most of them have an opening in the walls which has a window so that the occupants can rest and still enjoy the scenery. They are also ideal for socializing with fellow travelers, reading, or just enjoying a warm drink after a busy day of sightseeing. Some of the sitting areas are close to the lounges or cafes so that one can easily pick a bite or a drink and comfortably prepare for the afternoon. It is such spots that make one smooth MS Nordlys transitions into a place that feels like home while on a journey.
