The Ms Nordlys is dedicated to portraying the mystique of the Northern Lights, both with its name and its design. The art, décor as well as the colors used on board have been influenced by the magnificent Northern Lights, imparting a tranquil and distinct feeling around the ship. It does not matter if you are in one of the lounges after a busy day, sitting back in a padded recliner or just sitting back, it is all about the zen state and the moment.
You will not be disappointed on this aspect as well as food goes. There are a couple of restaurants, a bistro that serves food all day, and there’s even an ice cream as well as a bakery called Multe. If you want to enjoy any alcoholic beverages, you can have a drink at the elegant bar. Also, for the sporty guests, there is a gym and sauna, along with a big outer sun deck for some fresh air and leisure.
The Coastal Experience Team will be present at every step of your journey to enhance your travel experience. They will conduct lectures about the environment, animals, and people and also provide ashore activities for those who fancy a little bit of action.

A Hurtigruten vessel is a work vessel that operates regularly according to a fixed schedule. Ships, moving goods, vehicles and passengers between ports day and night, are an integral part of Norwegian° daily life. The ship calls at the port 24 hours a day. Some cabins may experience noise and vibration when loading luggage. This depends on the location of the cabin and the type of ship. Also, the effects of noise vary from person to person, and what is an issue for one person may not be an issue for another. Please contact our reservations team to find out which cabin location is best for you.
It is not customary to tip Hurtigruten ships on coastal voyages. However, tip boxes are placed inside the restaurant with envelopes if it is felt that flight attendants should be rewarded for outstanding service.
