MS Polarlys was refurbished in 2016 and features modern arctic-inspired interiors. On board are her three different restaurants, her Multe bakery and ice cream parlor, sauna and fitness room. On the deck, enjoy the views from her one of two hot tubs. There is a cozy bar in front of the ship where you can enjoy delicious traditional drinks. The ship also has a large compass area, containing reception, expedition teams, meeting rooms and shops.
A Hurtigruten vessel is a work vessel that operates regularly according to a fixed schedule. Ships, moving goods, vehicles and passengers between ports day and night, are an integral part of Norwegian° daily life. The ship calls at the port 24 hours a day. Some cabins may experience noise and vibration when loading luggage. This depends on the location of the cabin and the type of ship. Also, the effects of noise vary from person to person, and what is an issue for one person may not be an issue for another. It is not customary to tip Hurtigruten ships on coastal voyages. However, tip boxes are installed in restaurants with envelopes when it is felt that flight attendants should be rewarded for their outstanding service.
