Table reservations are to be done at the restaurant before leaving. A buffet breakfast is provided to passengers between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. (open seating); a lunch is served at 13 a.m. (open seating); while a dinner offer begins at 18 pm (fixed seating). The peak season may witness more than one sitting, with the relevant times indicated on board. The full board concept also starts with the buffet dinner on the night before boarding from Bergen and concludes with brunch on the last day. Breakfast in the Norwegian style is offered in a buffet, which consists of various salads, cold cuts, cheeses, eggs, grains, and fruits. Luncheon at the famed Cold Table comes with fish options, preserved meats, vegetables, hot entrees, sweets, and wait for it – fruits, and as desserts. Also, there is no menu selection at dinner; it comprises a set three-course meal. Occasionally, the Cold Table is served for dinner while the set lunch is served for another meal. All the vessels are fully stocked.

Dinners a la carte are prepared using the finest quality ingredients which are procured locally in order to create an elevated dining experience. A classic journey comprises of all meals on board, and for an extra fee, one is able to come on a la carte. This option is available even when you are on a half board basis. Most of the ships within the Hurtigruten fleet will have separate restaurants where they serve a la carte meals. An average of Kysten have a big selection of wine and tons of different beers and spirits. However, it is a professional service, which is aimed at the goal of the cultural practice.

On board Multe, you will find the ship bakery and an ice cream bar at its best. The sumptuous pastries, cakes and homemade ice creams are always a delight. It’s a nice place to get a dessert or light meal during the day. Do try their Norwegian-style waffles that can be customized to your taste; you will love them if you have any of those cravings! Multe is also known to carry the usual drinks like coffee and tea. It is a nice place to sit with kids and other family members while indulging in yummy food.
