Disabled Facilities

General Accessibility Information:

  • Check if your vacation is suitable if you have limited mobility before booking.
  • Tell the cruise line about any disabilities before booking.

  • Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) offers limited help, only as required by law.

Wheelchair Accessible Staterooms:

  • A few rooms are available for wheelchair users.
  • Use collapsible wheelchairs or rent scooters through Scooteround.
  • Keep wheelchairs and scooters in your room.
  • Not all activities or excursions are wheelchair accessible, especially at tender ports.

Accessibility for Hearing-/Vision-Impaired Guests:

  • Some rooms have special alarm clocks and lighting systems.
  • Guide dogs are allowed with some restrictions.

Oxygen Requirements:

  • Bring your oxygen.
  • Special Needs at Sea can deliver oxygen to the ship.

Special Dietary Requirements

  • All rooms, except for the Studios, have refrigerators to store insulin.
  • Two months before your cruise, you can ask for special meals that are low-calorie, sugar-free, fat-free, gluten-free, lactose-free, sodium-free, Kosher, and dairy-free.
  • Tell Norwegian Cruise Line or Cruisebooking.com about any food allergies or special diet needs when you book your cruise.
  • Order any special diet products at least 30 days before your cruise to make sure they are available.
  • Kosher meals requested less than 30 days before the cruise may not be provided.
  • You cannot bring your food, which needs to be prepared or stored by the ship’s staff, for safety reasons.

Alcohol and Beverage Policy

  • Guests need to be 21 or older to buy or drink alcohol on cruises that go to the USA, Canada, or China.
  • Only guests 21 and up can buy alcohol in the Premium All-inclusive packages.
  • You must be 18 or older to drink alcohol on other cruise routes, except if you're from the USA, Canada, or China.
  • On cruises visiting the USA, Canada, or China (except Alaska and Hawaii), guests aged 18 to 20 can drink wine and beer if their parents agree.
  • Parents must sign the Young Adult Alcoholic Beverage Waiver form at the Guest Services Desk on board to give permission.

Smoking Policy

Indoor Public Areas:

  • Smoking is permitted only in designated cigar lounges and the casino.

Cigar Lounge:

  • Only for smoking cigars.
  • Smoking cigarettes, pipes, e-cigarettes, or vapor devices is not allowed.

Casino:

  • Special smoking rooms are available on Norwegian Bliss, Norwegian Joy, and Norwegian Encore.
  • On other ships, smoking is allowed for active players (cigarettes, e-cigarettes, and vapor devices) during gaming hours.

Staterooms:

  • Smoking inside rooms and on balconies is prohibited.
  • A $250 fee applies for smoking inside.
  • Extra charges may apply for damage from cigarette burns.

Outdoor Areas:

  • Smoking is not allowed near food service areas, jogging tracks, sports venues, children’s pool areas, Vibe Beach Club, Posh Beach Club, or The Waterfront.

The Haven:

  • Smoking is prohibited in The Haven courtyard.
  • Smoking is allowed on certain ships in the Sun Deck area.

Cruise Casual:

  • Good for daytime, buffets, and most special restaurants.
  • Women: Summer dresses, skirts, pants, shorts, jeans, tops.

  • Swimwear: Only in specific areas.
  • Sweater: Bring one for cold, air-conditioned places.
  • Children (12 and under): Comfortable shorts are okay in all restaurants.
  • Not allowed in main dining areas: Men's tank tops, flip flops, baseball caps, visors, and very faded or torn jeans.

All Decked-out:

  • Smart casual is needed for formal dining and high-end restaurants.

Service Charges

  • Every day, a service fee is automatically added to guests' accounts.
  • $16 for Studios, Inside, Oceanview, and Balcony Rooms
  • $18 for Club Balcony Suites
  • $20 for Suites, The Haven Suites, and Concierge Rooms
  • This fee is shared with staff, such as restaurant and room stewards.
  • Guests can choose to pay this fee before the cruise starts.
  • If there are any service issues, guests should speak with the Guest Services Desk on the ship. If the issue is not resolved, the fee can be adjusted while onboard.
  • No refunds for these fees are provided on the ship. Guests must contact Guest Relations after the cruise for refunds.
  • Tips for personal services, like those from a concierge or butler, are not included. Direct tipping is advised for exceptional service.
  • A 20% tip is automatically added for spa and salon services, drinks, and special dining, except for some dining and drink packages.
