Sun Princess is an extravagant ship from Princess’s fleet of 17. Sun Princess introduces new eye-catching formations, like the Dome, a pioneering, glass-enclosed dome at the very top of the ship inspired by Santorini's terraces. The outward and suspending Sphere transports the ship's central Piazza hub to a new level. In total, this ship features around 21 decks, all having their unique features and amenities. 1. Deck 4

This deck features the medical and landing zones. This onboard hospital is well-equipped and is operated by trained doctors, physicians, and nurses who are on 24-hour call duty. The landing is an embarkation lounge reserved for suite guests only. The staff and crew quarters, the mess hall (crew bar lounge/dining room), equipment rooms, and storage sections are all on this deck.

2. Deck 5 and 6

Decks 5 and 6 share a wellness and retreat center called the Lotus Spa that consists of a lot of separate areas such as a relaxation room, treatment rooms (for massages), showers, and changing rooms. On deck 6 you also get the Enclave, which consists of a thermal suite (that is three times larger than the typical Lotus Spa), a hammam/oriental steam room, a caldarium/aroma steam room, a laconium/sauna, scented sensory showers, a hydro-therapy pool (with three whirlpools and a cascading rain shower), and male/female change areas. Deck 5 also features several cabins and staterooms, namely the general cruise cabins as well as the premium oceanview staterooms.

7. Deck 15

This deck features the navigation bridge/wheelhouse, the captain's suite, and the officers' quarters, all of which are off-limits to passengers on board. There are also general cruise cabins, deluxe balcony staterooms, premium deluxe balcony staterooms, reserve collection mini-suites, signature suites, and penthouse suites.

8. Deck 16

This deck has cruise cabins, deluxe balcony staterooms, sky suites, penthouse suites, owner’s suites, premium deluxe balcony staterooms, reserve collection mini-suites, signature suites, and penthouse suites.

9. Deck 17 and 18

The living quarters here feature cruise cabins, deluxe balcony staterooms, premium deluxe balcony staterooms, reserve collection mini-suites, and penthouse suites. Deck 17 has a pool deck, 3 swimming pools, and 4 jacuzzies/whirlpool hot tubs. there is also a sundeck, 3 poolside bars 1 sea view bar, and 2 midship bars namely; coffee & cones and THE MIX.

There is also the Dome, which is the first completely glass-enclosed area on a cruise ship. During the day, The Dome functions as a pool deck (with a big indoor/outdoor swimming pool). During the night, the swimming pool can be covered to create a stage, transforming The Dome into a concert hall complete with excellent sound and lighting effects, as well as live aerial shows.

Deck 18 has another sundeck with four whirlpools, jacuzzis, and outdoor hot tubs. In addition, there is a fully equipped fitness facility with a separate aerobics/exercise studio for lessons, a lotus salon/beauty shop, and a juice bar.

10. Deck 19, 20, and 21

Decks 19, 20, and 21 feature activity spaces meant to keep you well occupied throughout your cruising trip on your sea days ensuring that you are never bored. Some of the major facilities provided on this deck are the Sea Breeze (the first-at-sea Rollglider), obstacle courses, 360-degree observation decks, trekking and jogging track, recreational center, and hammock zone. Princess Cruise’s first-ever aqua park called the Splash Zone is also here. These are all part of a main area called Park 19.
