MSC Cruises has announced it will serve as title sponsor for three Grand Prix races on the 2027 FIA Formula One World Championship calendar: the Belgian Grand Prix, the Turkish Grand Prix and the Portuguese Grand Prix.
It marks the second year in a row that MSC Cruises has held title sponsorship of three races in a single Formula 1 season, building further on the cruise line’s long-running relationship with the sport. The partnership, which the company says is grounded in shared values around teamwork, precision and innovation, was first established in 2022 and runs through 2030.
These three sponsorships add to the trackside branding and hospitality activations MSC Cruises already carries out as part of that broader global partnership. Throughout the 2027 season, branding for both of MSC Group’s Cruise Division brands — MSC Cruises and the luxury line Explora Journeys — will appear across a selection of Formula 1 Grand Prix events, putting both names in front of racing fans worldwide.
In Belgium, the race will run July 23-25, 2027, at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in the Ardennes forest. At just over 7 kilometers, it’s one of the longest and most demanding tracks on the F1 calendar.
Portugal’s race is scheduled for June 18-20, 2027, at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, marking Formula 1’s return to the country after a hiatus. The circuit, set in the Algarve region, is known for its technical layout and sharp elevation changes.
Turkey’s Grand Prix returns to the F1 calendar under a new five-year deal starting in 2027, with the race set for October 1-3. It will be held at Istanbul Park, located roughly 45 kilometers outside Istanbul. The counterclockwise circuit, which spans 5.33 kilometers, first hosted a Formula 1 race in 2005 and has held nine Grands Prix to date.
MSC Group’s Cruise Division, headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, operates two brands: MSC Cruises, which covers the contemporary and premium segments, and Explora Journeys, its luxury brand. MSC Cruises is currently the world’s third-largest cruise line and the market leader in Europe, operating 23 ships that call on more than 250 destinations across over 100 countries. Explora Journeys, which launched in 2023, currently operates two ships and is expected to grow to six by 2028.
