Holland America Line has officially launched Wave Season with what it is calling its biggest promotion of the year. The cruise line announced the offer in a statement, highlighting major savings and added perks across hundreds of sailings.
The promotion, called “Start Your Journey,” is available on more than 500 cruises sailing to Alaska, Europe, and other global destinations. The offer includes cruise fare discounts of up to 30 percent, free balcony upgrades, onboard and shore excursion credits, reduced deposits, and free cruise fares for kids on select sailings.
According to Holland America Line, the promotion is designed to provide travelers with more value when planning future vacations that focus on destinations both onboard and ashore.
Beth Bodensteiner, President of Holland America Line, said the cruise line focuses on experiences that bring destinations to life during the voyage. She added that the “Start Your Journey” offer provides guests with a compelling reason to plan their next vacation, offering added savings and service at sea.
The Wave Season promotion applies to select summer 2026 through spring 2027 cruises, including Alaska Cruisetours, when booked with the Have It All premium fare. The offer includes several benefits, based on itinerary and sailing length.
Guests booking eligible cruises receive 50 percent reduced deposits for the first and second guests in the stateroom. Cruise fare discounts of up to 30 percent are also available, with prices starting as low as $162* per person, per day.
Another key benefit is the free balcony upgrade. Guests can book a verandah stateroom for the price of an ocean-view stateroom or book an ocean-view stateroom for the price of an interior cabin, based on availability.
Families can also save through free cruise fares for kids. Guests aged 18 and under sailing as the third or fourth guest in a stateroom can cruise for free on select 2026 and 2027 sailings. Taxes, fees, and port expenses apply.
Guests who book by January 31 can also receive onboard credit based on cruise length. This includes $100 per person for cruises lasting six to nine days, $150* per person for Alaska Cruisetours and cruises lasting 10 to 20 days, and $200* per person for cruises of 21 days or longer. Guests sailing on Legendary Voyages can receive up to $250* per person onboard credit.
Onboard credit can be used across the ship for specialty dining, spa services, shore excursions, gift shop purchases, and other onboard experiences.
Travelers booking 2026 Alaska cruises or Alaska Cruisetours by January 31 can also receive an exclusive Alaska bonus. Guests using promo code #1ALASKA26 at checkout can receive up to $200 in shore excursion credits per stateroom, based on the itinerary booked.
Guests who book using the Have It All premium fare receive four core amenities as part of their cruise package. These include shore excursion credits based on cruise length, a Signature Beverage Package, specialty dining based on cruise duration, and a Wi-Fi Surf Package.
Holland America Line noted that during the “Start Your Journey” Wave Season promotion, these amenities are offered in addition to the reduced deposits, stateroom upgrades, free kids fare, onboard credit, and other savings.
The Wave Season offer gives travelers an opportunity to plan future cruises with added flexibility, strong value, and multiple inclusions across a wide range of destinations and sailing dates.
