Norwegian Cruises Announced New Culinary Experiences on Aqua

By Cruise Booking Team

Norwegian Cruise Line has revealed exciting new culinary and beverage options set to premiere on the Norwegian Aqua in their announcement. Norwegian Aqua will embark on its maiden voyage in April 2025.
The ship will introduce three innovative onboard experiences: Sukhothai, NCL’s inaugural Thai specialty restaurant; Swirl Wine Bar, a sophisticated new venue for wine enthusiasts; and Planterie, the line’s first exclusively plant-based eatery. These additions reflect Norwegian’s commitment to diversifying its dining options, as highlighted in a recent press release.
“Discovering new flavors and dining experiences is such a memorable part of any vacation, especially when you share it with those who matter most to you,” remarked David J. Herrera, president of Norwegian Cruise Line. “Expanding on our award-winning food and beverage program, we’re looking forward to bringing new concepts to life aboard Norwegian Aqua, while continuing to deliver on the variety of available offerings and value that NCL delivers.”
At Sukhothai, diners can look forward to authentic dishes like Thai Cashew Chicken, Salt and Pepper Prawns, and Thai Grilled Steak Salad. Planterie will offer a variety of plant-based selections including the Southwest Bowl with smoked tempeh and the Mediterranean Goddess Bowl, and is conveniently located on deck eight.
Positioned on deck six, Swirl Wine Bar lies between the Whiskey Bar and Hasuki restaurant, featuring an extensive selection of wines by the glass, alongside some exclusive rare and premium vintages.
Beyond these new additions, the Norwegian Aqua will also showcase enhancements to existing spaces. The Metropolitan cocktail bar will now boast a grand piano and a small performance area. The Nama Sushi and Sashimi bar, a favorite since its debut on the Norwegian Prima and Norwegian Viva, will sport a refreshed look with a new color scheme. Additional popular venues like the Whiskey Bar and Surfside Café will continue to be part of the onboard offerings.
