Princess Cruises marks 65th Anniversary of Alaska Statehood with its own Celebration

By Cruise Booking Team

Princess Cruises recently paid tribute to Alaska’s 65th anniversary of statehood, coinciding with the cruise line’s upcoming 65th year of voyages to the region.

Terry Thornton, Chief Commercial Officer for Princess Cruises, remarked, ” Alaska’s statehood marked a historic moment in American history, opening doors to a world of opportunities and possibilities, and we salute this very important anniversary.” He further added, “Princess Cruises has been a proud partner in Alaska’s growth and prosperity, providing unforgettable experiences, contributing to its economy and fostering a deep appreciation for its unique heritage. We look back with pride on the incredible memories we’ve shared with millions of guests who have explored its pristine wilderness, breathtaking landscapes, and vibrant communities with us.”

In 2024, Princess Cruises will commemorate its 55th anniversary with its largest Alaska season to date, offering 158 sailings across 14 distinct itineraries and 17 destinations, operated by seven ships.

A highlight of the 2024 season is the introduction of seven-day Inside Passage cruises, including many voyages through Glacier Bay National Park, departing roundtrip from Vancouver on the Ruby Princess. These cruises will feature stops at Juneau, Skagway, and Ketchikan, along with excursions to Endicott Arm and scenic cruising near Dawes Glacier.

Additionally, Princess Cruises is set to launch over 20 cruisetours, including two new offerings in 2024:

A comprehensive 15-night National Parks Tour, covering five of Alaska’s national parks: Glacier Bay, Denali, Wrangell-St. Elias, Kenai Fjords, and the Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park in Skagway.

A nine-day Katmai National Park Tour, featuring a two-night stay in Anchorage and an extraordinary bear-watching experience at Brooks Falls in Katmai National Park.
